A century-old variety tracked back to Eastham Turnip farm in MA. Turnips are sweet, crisp, white fleshed and the skin turns pinkish after the first frost. Seed can be planted up to July 4th for a great fall crop. Foliage is dark green and excellent cooked like collards. Turnips can reach softball size and average up to 8 pounds. Great storage variety.
