Essential bean in Mexican dishes. Pods are borne close to the crowns of half-runner-type plants that can be grown as a pole bean. Medium-sized beans are light buff-colored speckled with brown. Delicious flavor and texture - thin-skinned, yet cook up firm and tender. Also an excellent shell bean.

Great producer and dependable. This bean is tasty enough for me to eat just plain (cooked).

Good production, but most molded in pods due to late rains. Will try again.
