This heirloom radish is becoming increasingly hard to come by. It dates back to 1885, when it was described in 'The Vegetable Garden' by Vilmorin. It has long, 5-6" roots that are unusual, adding interesting texture to vegetable platters and offering a mild, crisp crunch to the plate.
