Cabbage

Cabbage does well in cool weather. For an early harvest, start indoors 8 weeks before the last hard frost. Sow in flats 1/4" deep. Allow 10 days to germinate. When plants are 1 1/2", transplant to Jiffy Pots. After the last hard frost, transplant into the garden, spacing plants 2 feet apart in rows 2-3 feet apart. For a late harvest, sow directly into the garden.

Napa Cabbage can be grown more closely together at 12-18" apart and 18-30" between rows.
