Also known as 'Trout Bean', 'Coach Dog Bean', 'Dalmatian Bean', or 'Anasazi Bean' - old but unknown origin. Favored by Maine cooks in baked bean recipes because the beans soak up flavors superbly while retaining their own identity. Pure white beans with deep maroon splashes are borne on 24" high plants. Use as a shell bean or dry bean.
